Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Jakarta is set to host a number of international guests for the inauguration of Indonesia president-elect, Prabowo Subianto, and vice president-elect, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, scheduled for Sunday, October 20, 2024. Heads of state, vice presidents, and special envoys will begin arriving in the Indonesian capital starting Saturday, October 19, to witness the official swearing-in ceremony.
According to a list released by Indonesia’s House of Representatives (DPR RI), about 35 foreign delegations are expected to attend the event, including leaders from ASEAN and other partner nations will be present, along with numerous foreign ambassadors stationed in Indonesia.
Special envoys from various countries are also expected to join the ceremony. This including high-profile attendees such as U.S. Secretary of State, the British Foreign Minister, and Australia’s Prime Minister.
The international guests will be welcomed at Halim Perdanakusuma and Soekarno-Hatta airports in Jakarta, where they will be greeted with full ceremonial honors. After disembarking, they will be escorted by a 20-member honor guard before proceeding to the inauguration site.

The swearing-in of Prabowo and Gibran will take place at the Nusantara Building in the parliamentary complex in central Jakarta, symbolizing the formal transition of power and marking the beginning of the new administration.
