Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel – The Indonesian national team arrived in the Philippines on Friday (30/12) at 21:00 local time. The Garuda squad flew from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang using a chartered plane and landed at Ninoy Aquino Airport, Manila.

Once at the hotel, Fachruddin and his friends immediately had dinner and rested. On Saturday (31/12), the Indonesian national team underwent light training at the hotel during the day and at night practiced at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila.

“Alhamdulillah, my condition and the whole team are good and there are no problems. We come to the Philippines of course want to win and qualify for the semifinals,” said Indonesian national team striker Ilija Spasojevic.

“Even so, we must be wary of the Philippines, especially since they are playing at home. We have to be focused, disciplined and fight hard in the match,” he added.

Currently, Indonesia is ranked second in the group A standings by packing 7 points. In the previous three matches the Garuda squad won against Cambodia (2-1) and Brunei Darussalam (7-0), and drew against Thailand (1-1).
