Indonesia Weather Alert! Extreme Weather Warning on Valentine Day

Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning for extreme weather on Friday, February 14, 2025, coinciding with Valentine Day. BMKG predicts that several regions will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds.

Indonesia remains in the peak of the rainy season, with BMKG forecasting the season’s end in March 2025. While the transition from the rainy season to the dry season is expected to occur in April 2025.

Coincide with Valentine Day, Indonesia continues to face extreme weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and strong winds across multiple regions. Valentine Day is a special occasion for many, a time to celebrate love and spend moments with loved ones. However, weather conditions in several parts of Indonesia are expected to be unfavorable.

Early Warning

In response to these extreme weather conditions, BMKG has issued an early warning for Friday, February 14, 2025, coinciding with Valentine Day.
