Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — The Indonesian government will dispatch additional humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Myanmar on Thursday (April 3, 2025), according to the head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Suharyanto.

Suharyanto detailed that two aircraft will be sent: one carrying official delegates and another transporting logistics.

“On Thursday, two planes will depart. One is a Garuda 747-800 carrying personnel and an official delegation—approximately 16 key personnel, led by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) and accompanied by myself, the BNPB chief, as well as representatives from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri),” Suharyanto said.

Suharyanto claimed that Indonesia’s assistance has been the most comprehensive compared to other countries, including search and rescue (SAR) teams, medical teams, and essential logistics to support affected communities.

“So far, only Indonesia has provided a full package of medical teams, search and rescue personnel, and logistics,” he stated. “We should be proud that the Indonesian government is deeply committed to helping those in need in other countries.”
