11 Priority Programs of President Prabowo Absorb Rp446 Trillion from the National Budget (APBN)

Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Indonesia’s Finance Minister Sri Mulyani announced that President Prabowo Subianto 11 priority programs absorbs Rp446 trillion (approximately $27 billion) from the national budget (APBN).

In a post shared on her official Instagram account @smindrawati, Tuesday (June 3, 2025), Sri Mulyani emphasized that the APBN remains a vital tool for improving the welfare of the Indonesian people.

She noted that amid ongoing global geopolitical and economic uncertainty, the national budget also acts as a shock absorber to protect the economy.

The move aims to safeguard consumer purchasing power, support businesses, create job opportunities, and sustain economic growth momentum.

“In response to ongoing global uncertainty, the government has prepared a series of countercyclical policy packages funded through state spending,” Finance Minister Sri Mulyani wrote on her official Instagram account.

She added that the government is also accelerating and ensuring the effectiveness of several of President Prabowo’s key priority programs.

Among the 11 priority programs of President Prabowo, the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives Program has received the largest budget allocation, amounting to Rp200 trillion (approximately $12.3 billion).

This is followed by the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, with Rp121 trillion. On the other end of the spectrum, the Tuberculosis Eradication Program will receive the smallest share, at Rp1.5 trillion.

Here’s a breakdown of the budget allocations for all 11 programs:

  1. Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) – Rp121 trillion
  2. 3 Million Homes via Housing Finance Facility (FLPP) – Rp41.88 trillion
  3. Merah Putih Village Cooperatives – Rp200 trillion
  4. People’s Schools – Rp11.6 trillion
  5. Garuda Excellence Schools – Rp2 trillion
  6. School Rehabilitation – Rp19.5 trillion
  7. Free Health Check-ups – Rp3.4 trillion
  8. Tuberculosis Eradication – Rp1.5 trillion
  9. Development of Quality Hospitals – Rp1.7 trillion
  10. National Food Barns – Rp23.16 trillion
  11. Dam and Irrigation Development – Rp20.5 trillion

In addition to these allocations, the government has disbursed 13th-month salaries for civil servants, military, police, and retirees. Government has also rolled out five economic stimulus packages totaling Rp24.44 trillion between June and July 2025 to bolster economic growth and ensure macroeconomic stability.

The minister hope that these policies can ease the burden on the people and maintain our growth momentum.

“With these efforts, we aim to ensure the national budget continues to protect Indonesia’s economy and its people from mounting global pressures and a weakening world economy,” Sri Mulyani said.
