West Java ASPERINDO Board Inaugurated for 2025–2029 Term, Ready to Tackle Digital Challenges

Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Budiarto Irawan, who also the CEO of Mega Trans Jaya, has officially been sworn in as Chairman of the Regional Board (DPW) of the Indonesian Express Delivery, Postal, and Logistics Companies Association (ASPERINDO) for West Java for the 2025–2029 term.

The inauguration ceremony was held with 27 board members representing various courier and logistics companies, including JNE, POS Indonesia, Resto Abadi Espedisi, Yama Express, SWA Buana Pratama, LEGA Paket, KGP, PCP, Pandu Logistik, Anter Aja, SAP, Barzah Logistic Solution, TLX, DPX, MPS, HBM, DK Express, DMX, and DB Logistics.

The event, themed “United in Building a Resilient, Innovative, and Competitive Express Delivery, Postal/Courier, and Logistics Industry,” took place at the Mandiri University building on Jalan Soekarno Hatta No. 574 in Bandung, West Java, on June 19, 2025.

“Let us work hand-in-hand and remain united in shaping a more inclusive and supportive environment for the nation’s postal, courier, and logistics sector,” he said.

Budiarto Irawan stated that with a population of 284.44 million and e-commerce transactions valued at Rp530 trillion in 2024, present major opportunities for the 370 members of ASPERINDO.

He also noted that more than 700 licensed courier businesses could tap into this momentum, with hopes that transaction volumes will grow by as much as 90% annually, and contributing to national economic growth.

Budiarto Irawan in his remarks emphasized that ASPERINDO West Java must lead efforts to build a more efficient, integrated logistics industry that supports the growth of local businesses, especially small and medium enterprises.

“We aim to develop strategic programs focused on collaboration, digitalization, and boosting exports from West Java’s SME sector,” he said.

He added that ASPERINDO will focus on five key priorities over the next five years including building a collaborative ecosystem among members and strategic stakeholders, promoting export growth through efficient logistics to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), enhancing human resources by providing professional training programs for members, acting as a critical and constructive partner to the government in shaping regional logistics policies and  strengthening ASPERINDO’s role in equitable infrastructure development and logistics policymaking.

Budiarto also called on members and board officials to embrace a renewed spirit of growth and innovation in today’s digital era.

“Let’s make ASPERINDO West Java not just an organization, but a collaborative home and a organization solutions that remains adaptive and relevant in navigating the challenges and opportunities of digitalization and global change,” he said.

To expand its network, Budiarto said ASPERINDO will strengthen collaboration with the government and other industry associations.

“We hope the government will be more open to working with associations like ASPERINDO on matters such as tariff policies, export regulations, green logistics incentives, and cracking down on illegal logistics practices. We believe this synergy can reinforce the economic foundations of regional distribution and connectivity,” he said.

Looking ahead, he said ASPERINDO plans to partner with various associations, government agencies, small businesses, educational institutions, and other industries to establish strategic collaborations that enhance the capacity and capabilities of Indonesia’s modern logistics and delivery sector.

Budiarto also extended his appreciation to the event’s supporters, including Bank Mandiri, PT Surya Putra Sarana (SPS Mitsubishi), Tokio Marine Insurance, and other contributors.
