Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Google has launched a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) products and initiatives aimed at equipping students and teachers in Indonesia with cutting-edge technology to improve the quality of education.
The lineup includes a 12-month extension of free access to Google AI Pro, a new Guided Learning feature, and the upcoming Google Student Ambassadors program.
“With these innovative AI products and programs, we aim to empower students and educators with the tools to shape the future of learning,” Google said in a statement, cited on Saturday.
Through the free one-year extension of Google AI Pro, educators and students will gain access to advanced features such as the Google Gemini 2.5 Pro model, expanded limits for Deep Research and NotebookLM, and enhanced capabilities for creative projects with Veo 3. Users will also benefit from five times more Audio and Video overviews and higher usage limits for Jules, Google’s AI coding assistant.
Google also launched the Guided Learning, a new feature in Gemini designed to go beyond simply providing answers, instead offering step-by-step prompts and support. Powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, it can help students tackle complex math problems, develop arguments for essays, and prepare for exams whether drafting a paper on the importance of bee populations for food security or exploring photography as a hobby.

The tech giant also announced the upcoming launch of the Google Student Ambassadors program, which will bring together 500 university students to deepen their understanding of AI tools through personalized mentorship. Participants will receive Generative AI certifications, preparing them to lead safe and responsible AI adoption in their communities.
Google noted it has already trained over one million teachers in Indonesia on digital skills and innovation, with more than 147 public schools in 22 provinces serving as model institutions for others. More than 200,000 teachers have completed its Gemini Academy training, as the company continues integrating AI into classrooms to empower both educators and students.
