Jakarta, Indonesia Snetinel — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the Core Tax Administration System (CTS) on January 1, 2025, marking a significant modernization of the country’s tax services.

The new system, implemented by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), aims to streamline tax administration by allowing taxpayers to complete all processes online, eliminating the need for frequent visits to tax service offices.

According to the official DJP website, Coretax consolidates all tax administration services into a single digital portal. The system facilitates key processes such as taxpayer registration, filing of tax returns, payments, and other essential services.

Before its official rollout, Coretax underwent a pre-implementation phase from December 24 to December 31, 2024. Dwi Astuti, Director of Education, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, emphasized the importance of this phase to ensure taxpayers face minimal difficulties when using the application.

How to Access the Coretax System

Taxpayers can access Core Tax System online via pajak.go.id website. However, they must first have a registered DJP Online account. For those without an account, registration can be done at https://ereg.pajak.go.id/login.

  • Read and acknowledge important information provided
  • Click on “Access Coretax”
  • Enter Taxpayers user ID using NIK (National ID Number) or NPWP (Taxpayer Identification Number)
  • Enter the password from the registered DJP Online account
  • Select the preferred language
  • Enter the captcha code
  • Click “Login”

Upon the initial login, taxpayers will be prompted to reset their password by following these steps:

  • Choose confirmation via email or mobile phone
  • Enter the relevant email address or phone number
  • Enter the captcha code
  • Check for an email or SMS with a reset link
  • Verify that the sender domain is “@pajak.go.id” for email or “DJP” for SMS

Taxpayers will also need to set up a passphrase, which will serve as a digital signature for using Coretax services. DJP advises users to create a unique passphrase, different from their password. After that, Taxpayers can log in to the Coretax system.
