Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — The world is currently witnessing intense geopolitical chaos. The ongoing war in Ukraine continues to pit Western powers against Russia, while conflict in the Middle East involving Israel has begun to spread beyond Palestine, affecting several other nations.
According to a report from The Economic Times, these global tensions were predicted by Indian astrologer Kishore Kumar in his “Vedic Astrology Predictions for 2024,” published on July 1, 2023. His forecast highlighted the potential geopolitical chaos landscape in the wake of two major global conflicts.
Kumar’s predictions noted that during the final months of 2024, unexpected maneuvers by adversarial powers could challenge the core philosophies of the United States. This, he warned, could trigger significant financial repercussions for the country.
“The planetary alignments could indicate a state of affairs that may not align with U.S. interests, causing concern among its allies and necessitating a strategic response,” Kumar stated on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
These statements followed a shift in Russia’s nuclear doctrine, which now asserts that Moscow has the responsibility to deploy nuclear weapons against any nation that indirectly attacks Russia by aiding its enemies. This aggressive posture underscores the escalating tensions between Russia and Western powers.
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, in a ceremony marking the one-year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on Israel (October 7), emphasized America’s unwavering commitment to defending Israel. He issued a stern warning to Iran and its proxies, vowing that the U.S. would not hesitate to act if Israel were attacked.
“The Department of Defense remains resolute in its commitment to Israel’s security and to combat Hamas and other extremist groups,” Austin said in an address covered by Newsweek.
Austin also reaffirmed that the U.S. would not rest until every Israeli hostage taken by Hamas a year ago was returned home. While defending Israel, he underscored America’s responsibility to protect Palestinian civilians, acknowledging that more than 41,000 Palestinians have died from Israeli strikes on Gaza. Austin framed this responsibility as both a moral imperative and a strategic necessity.
“We must prevent further aggression from Iran, and we will work with our allies and partners to promote stability and peace in the Middle East,” he added.
In another flashpoint, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un recently stated that his forces would not hesitate to use nuclear weapons if Pyongyang were attacked by South Korea or its ally, the United States. This statement followed a South Korean military parade earlier this week in which President Yoon Suk Yeol warned that North Korea would face destruction if it resorted to nuclear aggression.
“If enemies attempt to violate the sovereignty of the DPRK with military force, the DPRK will use, without hesitation, all offensive capabilities it possesses, including nuclear weapons,” the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported, using North Korea’s formal name.
President Yoon responded firmly, declaring, “If North Korea attempts to use nuclear weapons, they will face an overwhelming and decisive response from our military and the U.S.-Republic of Korea alliance. That day would mark the end of the North Korean regime.”

The escalating conflicts across Europe, the Middle East, and the Korean Peninsula highlight the precarious state of global peace, with many of the world’s major powers now caught in a dangerous balance of nuclear deterrence, strategic maneuvering, and direct confrontation.
