Bank Muamalat Facilitates Payment of BPJS Employment Dues through Digital Platforms

Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel – PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk launched the BPJS Employment dues payment service through the Muamalat Digital Integrated Access (MADINA) internet banking corporation and the Muamalat Digital Islamic Network (DIN) mobile banking application. For the category of Wage Earners (PU) can use MADINA, while the category of Non-Wage Earners (BPU) and Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) use Muamalat DIN. This facility is a form of convenience provided to migrant workers, especially in Malaysia.

The launch ceremony of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contribution payment feature through the bank’s electronic channel between Bank Muamalat and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan was held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Muamalat Tower, South Jakarta. Bank Muamalat was represented by Chief Wholesale Banking Officer Irvan Y. Noor and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan was represented by Finance Director Asep Rahmat Suwandha.

Irvan said, this collaboration was carried out to support government programs related to the protection of Indonesian workers, especially migrant workers in Malaysia, to fulfill their obligations in paying BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions. Payment of contributions becomes easier because the payment options are more diverse.

“Bank Muamalat is the only Islamic bank in the country that has a full branch office in Malaysia, precisely in Kuala Lumpur. While we know that Malaysia is one of the countries where our brothers and sisters migrant workers try their luck. This partnership will make it easier for them to pay BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions, both through branch offices and via Bank Muamalat electronic channels, “he said.

Previously, Bank Muamalat had implemented the service of receiving BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions through counter tellers since 2019, then continued with the implementation of the service of receiving BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions through corporate internet banking and mobile banking.
