Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel – BNI Mobile Banking, a mobile application owned by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI recorded positive growth in the first quarter of 2020 in line with the company’s strategy to continue to improve customer experience in non-cash transactions.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said BNI continues to improve the experience in transactions ranging from transfers, bill payments, QRIS to investment.
The improvements made by BNI have succeeded in encouraging growth in the number of users which in turn has a good impact on the performance of the volume and value of BNI Mobile Banking transactions.
“We are very grateful that the performance of BNI Mobile Banking at the beginning of this year grew quite positively, in accordance with our mission to further strengthen digital banking performance, especially in the retail segment,” Okki said in a BNI press release received on Friday (28/4/2023).
Okki explained that more than 60 percent of individual saving accounts were contributed by BNI Mobile Banking users. Contribution to BNI’s fee-based income (FBI) also continues to increase every year.
“We continue to strive to increase the contribution of savings from mobile banking users this year by presenting various new superior features that are relevant at the same time and promo programs on big days, according to customer needs, such as during Ramadan and Eid,” he said.
As of March 2023, BNI recorded the number of BNI Mobile Banking users reaching 14.3 million or growing by 25 percent YoY. This growth was followed by the number of transactions which grew by 52 percent YoY, and the transaction value grew by 53 percent YoY.
