Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — PT Cahaya Murni Sejahtera (CMS) held a pre-production socialization program with residents in Tiu, Tontowea and Ulula villages, West Petasia district, North Morowali regency, Central Sulawesi.
The socialization were attended by company representatives, local government officials, police, military officers and community members. The aim was to build trust, maintain communication, and gather input from residents.
PT CMS general manager of operations, Adrian Wisnuputro explained that the pre-productions socialization to the community was held on September 11–12.
“We are grateful that the pre-production socialization ran smoothly and was met with positive responses from the community,” said Adrian, in a statement.

The outreach underscores the company’s openness to community aspirations. PT CMS as credible nickel mining company reaffirmed its commitment to comply with Indonesian laws and regulations.
“We received valuable feedback from residents during the pre-produciton socialization. We are open and fully support their aspirations,” Adrian added.
PT CMS operations are expected to boost North Morowali’s economy, increase local revenue, create jobs for local workers, and support community empowerment programs.
“PT CMS will create many jobs opportunity for the local workers,” said Adrian.
Meanwhile, The North Morowali Environmental Agency confirmed that PT CMS has secured the necessary environmental permits.
The Agency expressed confidence that the company will follow good mining practices align with the regulations while preserving the environment.
