Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to visit Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, for a humanitarian mission. Ronaldo visit marks his return to Indonesia after more than a decade, having last traveled to the country in 2013.
Ronaldo visit to Indonesia was invited by Dr. Susi Marya Kapitana, the leader of the Graha Kasih Foundation, for a social initiative. Originally scheduled to arrive in Kupang on Tuesday, February 18, his visit was postponed by a day due to prior engagements in Jakarta.
Ronaldo will land in the Indonesian capital on February 18 before heading to Kupang the following day. He is expected to remain in Indonesia from February 18 to 23, 2025.
Indonesian fans have expressed excitement over Ronaldo’s visit, with many taking to social media to speculate about his itinerary and even extending invitations to meet him. However, a well-organized agenda has already been prepared for his stay.
Ronaldo Agenda
According to Susi Maria Katipana, Director of the Graha Kasih Indonesia Foundation in Kupang, Cristiano Ronaldo has several activities planned, including reviewing 14 programs under the Graha Kasih Indonesia Foundation. One of the agenda, Ronaldo will contribute to the construction of an orphanage and a place of worship.
“He will also provide aid to orphanages and churches, as well as donate transportation support to the Al Hikmah Orphanage in Namosain,” Susi said on Monday, February 17.
Additionally, Ronaldo and his team will visit a Christian elementary school in Tuapukan Village, Kupang Regency, which is in dire need of renovation. They will also tour the Tiberis Foundation in Camplong, Fatuleu District.
Further, Susi noted that Ronaldo will inspect the site for a planned International Cancer Hospital in Oematnunu Village, West Kupang District. Susi stated that Ronaldo’s visit aims to purchase the land and establish the International Cancer Hospital.

“Ronaldo is funding this trip himself, and all participants are coming to see how they can assist the Graha Kasih Indonesia Foundation. However, [Ronaldo] is already bringing aid,” said Susi Katipana.
This visit marks Ronaldo’s first humanitarian trip to Indonesia since his last visit in 2013. It is part of his social campaign, who is known for his commitment to humanitarian and environmental causes.
