Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has quickly risen as one of Donald Trump’s most significant political donors, solidifying his support for the Republican presidential nominee with a massive financial contribution. According to Reuters, Musk has donated around $75 million to a pro-Trump group in the span of three months. This moves underlining Musk crucial role in Trump’s efforts to secure a win in the upcoming Novembert 5 presidential election.
Federal Election Commission filings released on Tuesday, October 14, reveal that Musk, the world’s richest man, contributed nearly $75 million to America PAC. The America Pac was a super political action committee (PAC) that he founded earlier this year primarily to support Trump. According to filings with the Federal Election Commission, America PAC has spent a total of $102 million on Trump’s re-election campaign since its formation in May.
The recent donations place Musk in the ranks of the Republican Party’s most influential mega-donors, alongside figures like banking heir Timothy Mellon and casino magnate Miriam Adelson.
All of Musk’s contributions to America PAC came during the third quarter of this year, spanning from July to September. During this period, Musk was the sole contributor to the PAC, which spent approximately $72 million of the total funds to boost Trump’s campaign, with a focus on mobilizing voters in key battleground states.
This figure surpasses the spending of any other pro-Trump super PAC dedicated to voter turnout. Given the Trump campaign’s reliance on outside groups for voter outreach, the financial backing from Musk and his super PAC is playing a pivotal role in what is expected to be a highly competitive race against Democrat Kamala Harris.
Musk’s backing of Trump marks a notable shift in his political stance. The billionaire, who has previously supported Democratic candidates, endorsed Trump in July. Earlier this month, Musk appeared alongside Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania, signaling his growing involvement in the Republican campaign.

On Wednesday, Musk announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he will be conducting a series of talks across Pennsylvania. The events, scheduled to take place from Thursday to Monday, are open to individuals who sign a petition on the America PAC website.
Musk’s petition, which endorses free speech and the right to bear arms, requires signers to provide personal information such as their full names, cellphone numbers, and mailing addresses, a valuable resource for political campaigns looking to target voters.
“To clarify, you need to have voted in Pennsylvania,” Musk added in a follow-up post, emphasizing the significance of voter engagement in the swing state.
As the election draws near, Elon Musk as top political donors is expected to continue playing a key role in Trump’s bid for re-election, as the billionaire leverages his wealth and influence to sway critical voters in this razor-thin race.
