Bandung, IndonesiaSentinel — In a thrilling addition to Indonesia’s growing video game industry, “DreadHaunt,” a new multiplayer horror game developed by Bandung-based studio Digital Happiness, has officially launched. The game was unveiled by Nuon Digital Indonesia during Baparekraf Game Prime 2024, the country’s largest gaming expo, held at Atrium Mall Taman Anggrek, West Jakarta, from August 17-18. The event, supported by the Indonesian Game Developers Association (AGI) and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), highlighted the burgeoning potential of the local gaming industry.
Aris Sudewo, CEO of Nuon, expressed his excitement about showcasing DreadHaunt at this year’s expo. “We are proud to support and promote local talent through projects like DreadHaunt,” said Sudewo. “By collaborating with Indonesian developers, we are committed to advancing the nation’s gaming industry, which not only enhances our digital entertainment landscape but also significantly contributes to the growth of our creative economy.”

Sudewo emphasized the vast potential of Indonesia’s gaming industry as a cornerstone of the creative economy. “With the continuous development of technology and the creativity of our young talents, we are optimistic that Indonesian-made games like DreadHaunt can compete internationally and have a positive economic impact, including creating new jobs in this sector,” he added.
