Bandung, Indonesia Sentinel — A new food trend known as “Dubai Chocolate” has been making waves on TikTok, capturing the attention of users worldwide. This sweet treat has gone viral due to its unique appearance and mouthwatering flavor, leaving many eager to try it for themselves.
Dubai Chocolate is a Middle Eastern-inspired dessert that blends the rich flavors of Dubai with a satisfying combination of crispy exterior and soft, creamy filling. The treat has become an instant sensation, sparking curiosity about what makes it so special.
What is Dubai Chocolate?
Recently, Dubai Chocolate has taken social media by storm, particularly on TikTok. The snack has become a hot topic due to its eye-catching design and innovative fillings, which have intrigued dessert lovers everywhere.
According to CNN, this Chocolate isn’t just an ordinary snack — it’s a culinary experience that invites people to savor its rich and varied flavors. The chocolate features an unusual array of fillings, from filo pastry and vanilla custard to tea and biscuits. This unique combination has transformed Dubai Chocolate into a viral food trend, piquing the interest of many around the globe.
First created by Fix Dessert Chocolatier, a Dubai-based chocolate shop founded by Sarah Hamouda in 2021, the treat originated as part of Hamouda’s pregnancy cravings. Wanting something different, she crafted a dessert that would stand out from traditional chocolates.
The chocolate’s popularity skyrocketed after a viral ASMR video posted by TikTok food influencer Maria Vehera. In the clip, Vehera is seen enjoying the chocolate from her car, and the video has since garnered over 56 million views. Fans quickly followed suit, posting their own reaction videos and even attempting to replicate the recipe at home.

As reported by The Kitchn, the viral Dubai Chocolate is made from rich Middle Eastern flavors like pistachio cream and knafeh, a traditional pastry. Originally exclusive to Dubai, the chocolate became available in New York after a local shop began importing it.
The Appeal of Dubai Chocolate
One of the key elements that makes the Chocolate so special is its handcrafted nature and intricate design. Each chocolate is meticulously created by hand and decorated with a range of vibrant colors. Flavors inspired by the Middle East — such as dates, karak (spiced tea), and knafeh — add depth to the dessert’s appeal.
Dubai’s diverse expatriate community has also inspired some of the more inventive flavors, like “Mind Your Own Buiscoff,” a white chocolate filled with crunchy Lotus cheesecake, and “Cereously Chewsy,” a milk chocolate packed with Nutella brownies, custard, and cereal.
With such creative combinations, Dubai Chocolate has quickly become a coveted item. Fix Chocolatier sells around 500 bars per day, each priced at $20, or about 309,000 Indonesian rupiah. However, demand far exceeds supply, with some fans even turning to the black market to get their hands on this exclusive treat.
As the TikTok trend continues to grow, more and more people are trying their hand at homemade versions of Dubai Chocolate, but the original remains a luxury experience that’s in high demand.
