Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — The 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) is set to make waves in the global gaming community with a record-breaking prize pool of $70 million, reaffirming its status as one of the most prestigious esports tournaments in the world.
Scheduled to take place from July to August 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this year’s tournament offers a $10 million increase over the previous year’s $60 million purse. The prize money will be distributed across multiple categories, including Game Championships, Club Championships, qualifiers, and individual MVP awards.
The event will once again showcase a wide array of competitive titles spanning various genres ranging from MOBAs and FPS to battle royale and fighting game, drawing elite players and teams from around the world.
There are a total of 24 games will be competed during the event. Officials noted that the list of participating games may expand in the coming months, fueling anticipation ahead of the summer event.
