Jakarta, IndonesiaSentinel.com — A fire broke out at a site on Jalan Muwardi Raya, RT.07/RW.04, Grogol, West Jakarta, on Sunday (Sept. 8, 2024).
According to an Instagram post from the official account of the Jakarta Fire Department (@humasjakfire), the blaze engulfed a semi-permanent structure.
Firefighters began extinguishing the fire around 6:35 a.m. local time, with the spread of the flames successfully contained by 7:14 a.m.
“Cooling efforts are ongoing as of 7:31 a.m. to clear flammable materials,” the account noted.

A total of 17 firefighting units—15 from West Jakarta and two from the DKI Jakarta Fire Department—were deployed, along with 85 personnel.
The extent of the damages has yet to be determined.
