Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — For Indonesian citizens who love traveling abroad, preparing essential travel documents such as passports and visas is crucial. A passport serves as an international identity document for Indonesian nationals, while a visa is an official permit granted by a country, allowing an individual to enter, stay, or leave its territory for a specific duration.

However, not all countries require Indonesian citizens to secure a visa before entry. Many destinations have eased entry requirements, enabling Indonesian passport holders to travel more conveniently without the need for additional documentation or visa fees.

According to the Visa Index, Indonesian passport holders can access up to 80 destinations without needing to process a visa in advance. Of these, 46 countries offer full visa exemptions, while the remaining destinations provide visas on arrival (VOA) or allow entry using an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
