Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially signed and inaugurated the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
“Today, Monday, February 24, 2025, as President of the Republic of Indonesia, I have signed Law No. 1 of 2025, which marks the third amendment to Law No. 19 of 2003 on State-Owned Enterprises, as well as Government Regulation No. 10 of 2025 concerning the organization and governance of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency,” Prabowo stated on Monday, as reported by CNBC Indonesia.
Additionally, Prabowo signed Presidential Decree No. 30 of 2025 regarding the appointment of the supervisory board and executive body of Danantara Indonesia.
Leadership and Structure
Presidential Communications Chief Hasan Nasbi states that Investment and Downstreaming Minister, who also serves as Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, has been appointed CEO of Danantara.
The roles of Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be held by AC Ventures Founder Pandu Sjahrir and Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Dony Oskaria, respectively.
According to Hasan, Danantara will operate under two main holdings: operations and investments. “Mr. Dony Oskaria will oversee the operational holding, while Mr. Pandu Sjahrir will manage the investment holding,” he explained.
Meanwhile for Danantara supervisory board, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir has been appointed as chairman, with former Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Muliaman D. Hadad serving as vice chairman.
Former Indonesian President
Prabowo also emphasized that former Indonesian presidents would play an advisory role in overseeing Danantara Indonesia.
“Former presidents will be invited to serve as advisors, ensuring that this institution is guided and safeguarded by figures of integrity who truly care for Indonesia,” Hasan stated during a press conference at the Presidential Palace.
Among those present at the inauguration were former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (Indonesia’s 6th president) and former President Joko Widodo (Indonesia’s 7th president). Also in attendance were former Vice Presidents Ma’ruf Amin, Jusuf Kalla, and Boediono.
Investment Priorities
Prabowo announced that Danantara’s initial investment phase will amount to $20 billion, equivalent to approximately Rp326 trillion.
“The first wave of investments will total $20 billion across roughly 20 strategic projects worth billions of dollars each,” Prabowo stated during the inauguration event.

The investment focus includes nickel, bauxite, and copper downstreaming projects, artificial intelligence data centers, oil refineries, petrochemical plants, as well as food production and renewable energy. “These sectors will determine our future, our resilience, and our national independence,” Prabowo added.
Prabowo reiterated that industrialization and downstream processing are crucial to creating high-quality, long-term jobs for Indonesians. By strengthening these sectors, Indonesia aims to stop exporting raw materials at low prices.
“We refuse to be merely a supplier of raw materials for other nations and determined to become a developed country. We have already proven our commitment to managing Indonesia’s wealth with careful discipline and responsible governance,” Prabowo asserted.
