Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang, Banten, has been recognized as the best airport in the Asia-Pacific region after securing the top spot in the prestigious 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards, organized by Airports Council International (ACI).
Dwi Ananda Wicaksana, General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, attributed the achievement to the airport’s ongoing service transformation.
“This award is concrete proof that Soekarno-Hatta Airport continues to evolve to provide the best experience for passengers. We have undertaken various transformations, including infrastructure development, ecosystem-based operational optimization, and enhanced customer service quality,” Dwi said, as quoted by Antara.
Previously, Soetta Airport was also named the “Best Airport Over 40 Million Passengers in Asia-Pacific” in the 2024 ASQ Awards.
Competing Among the Best in the Region
As Indonesia’s busiest and largest airport, Soetta has positioned itself alongside leading international airports in the region, cementing its reputation as one of the best in Asia-Pacific.
The recognition was based on ASQ Awards assessments, which focus primarily on airport experience as a key indicator of service quality. The ASQ Awards is a global benchmarking program that evaluates airport users’ experiences through direct surveys conducted worldwide.
“This award reflects the significant impact of service improvements at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on passenger satisfaction,” Dwi added.
