Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Kim Kardashian, the American reality TV star and fashion mogul, has introduced her high-tech new friend, Tesla humanoid robot, Optimus. Taking to her social media accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Kardashian shared her experience with the cutting-edge machine.
Kardashian showcased the bipedal robot, which is not yet available to the general public, just a month after Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled it during the “We, Robot” event.
In a video clip posted to her accounts, Kardashian welcomed the robot into her life, demonstrating its advanced capabilities. Optimus responded to her commands, performing gestures such as forming a heart with its hands and waving.
The interaction didn’t stop there, the robot also executed more complex actions, including running, dancing a hula, and performing the iconic “Raise the Roof” move. The star even taught Optimus how to blow a kiss and played a game of rock-paper-scissors with the robot.
The latest post on her Instagram, Kim Kardashian was seen sitting next to a golden version of Optimus in Tesla’s Cyber Cab, an autonomous two-passenger vehicle slated for production in 2027.
Tesla Autonomous Robot Optimus
Tesla showcased its Optimus robot at the “We, Robot” event last month, drawing significant attention. However, the robots greeting guests at the event were not autonomous—they were operated by humans. The robot then sparked debate on social media, with many speculating that Kim Kardashian’s interaction with Optimus was also likely mediated by human control.

Despite this, the display underscores the potential of Tesla’s robotics program. “Optimus is a glimpse into the future of humanoid robots,” Musk said during its unveiling.
While the robots are currently experimental, Tesla’s innovations continue to blur the line between science fiction and reality. And with high-profile advocates like Kardashian showcasing the technology, public fascination with robots like Optimus is only set to grow.
