Palu, Indonesia Sentinel – Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga encouraged micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Palu to increase their buying and selling transactions by utilizing digital platforms. This is in line with the growing use of social media. This was conveyed by Wamendag Jerry when visiting Sri Rejeki Fried Onion MSMEs in Palu, Central Sulawesi today, Sunday (28/5).

“The Ministry of Trade continues to encourage MSMEs to do digital marketing. In addition, we are also ready to provide continuous guidance to MSMEs, especially MSMEs in the city of Palu,” said Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry.

Jerry also revealed that buying and selling transactions through marketplace platforms are now experiencing rapid growth. The Ministry of Trade supports MSMEs to get a place in the marketplace by issuing policies as a form of government favoritism to MSMEs.

The four pillars are the existence of MSMEs, marketplaces, modern retail, and banking. In 2022, Indonesia experienced economic growth of 5.31 percent and a trade surplus of USD 54.46 billion.
