Banten, Indonesia Sentinel – Deputy Minister of Trade, Jerry Sambuaga, accompanied by Acting Director General of Consumer Protection and Trade Order, Moga Simatupang, secured unregulated motor vehicle lubricant products worth Rp16.5 billion in three warehouse locations in Tangerang City, Banten Province, Monday (17/4/2023).

The Deputy Minister of Trade said that the illegal lubricant products allegedly did not meet the regulations by not having a Product Certificate for the Use of the Indonesian National Standard Mark (SPPT SNI), Goods Registration Number (NPB) and Registered Lubricant Number (NPT).

The Deputy Minister of Trade added that the Ministry of Trade has temporarily secured lubricant products that do not meet the provisions. The follow-up to the security is then carried out a law enforcement process in accordance with applicable laws and regulations so that there is a deterrent effect for business actors to produce lubricants in accordance with applicable regulations.
