Surabaya – A resident of Leces District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java Province, named Alizah Imanda Putri, is trusted as a referee at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games on May 1 to 8, 2023.

She also served as a referee in the indoor hockey match in the Southeast Asian country event.

Quoting the release of the Probolinggo Regency Government to Jatim Newsroom, the virgin born in Probolinggo on June 22, 1993 last year is known as one of the outstanding and competent referees to lead indoor hockey matches.

This is inseparable from her experience in leading various kinds of matches held both at national and international levels.

Manda said he did not expect to be appointed as one of the referees at the SEA Games. Because to his knowledge there are still many other hockey referees who are more experienced and have professional licenses.

“Of course I feel proud to have been selected and trusted to lead a number of hockey matches at an event as big as the SEA Games. I did not expect to get this trust at all,” he said.

According to Manda, apart from himself there are 1 other referee from North Sumatra and 1 Technical Officer from West Java who were sent by the Executive Board of the Indonesian Hockey Federation (PB FHI) to lead the indoor hockey match at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games.

“I really like hockey. Therefore, leading a hockey match is an art. Because the role of the referee as a referee on the field is very vital in determining the course and outcome of a match,” he explained.

Manda hopes that the trust as a referee at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games can motivate referees in the region, especially in Probolinggo Regency to be able to at least match him or even better.

“I have proven that I can and am able to lead international matches. Hopefully this can be continued and the referees from any sports in Probolinggo Regency can also appear to lead in a display as big as the SEA Games,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of KONI Probolinggo Regency, Zainul Hasan, admitted that he was very proud that a sports person in Probolinggo Regency became a trusted referee for Southeast Asia in the form of the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games.

“The hope is that Probolinggo Regency athletes can also compete in international events with serious effort. Of course nothing is impossible if you want to try and practice hard,” he said. (InfoPublik/MC Diskominfo Prov Jatim/non-ghf/toeb)
