Jakarta -The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) examined four witnesses related to the case of alleged corruption in the management of gold commodity business activities from 2010 to 2022.
Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Center Ketut Sumedana said the four witnesses examined included FM as Head of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Type C Customs Service Office, PPJ as Sub-Directorate of Goods Classification at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, VG as Reseller of PT Antam and Director of PT Maha Karya Baru, and EP as Employee of PT Viola Davina.
“The four witnesses were examined in connection with the investigation of alleged corruption in the management of gold commodity business activities from 2010 to 2022,” Sumedana said in his statement, Monday (5/6/2023).
The witness examination was carried out to strengthen the evidence and complete the filing in the case.
The Attorney General’s Office alleged that there were state losses in the process of importing and granting import duties on gold commodities in the 2021-2022 period.
Currently, investigators are still exploring allegations of unlawful acts in the case. Investigators have not yet named a suspect in the case.
