Vietjet to Open Direct Ho Chi Minh-Jakarta Flights Soon

Jaarta – Vietjet is further expanding its presence in Indonesia with a third direct flight service connecting Jakarta with Ho Chi Minh City starting August 5, 2023. After successfully operating the Bali – Ho Chi Minh City and Bali – Hanoi routes, this new service marks Vietjet’s expansion to reach a wider audience in Southeast Asia, especially major cities such as Jakarta which is the economic, political and cultural center of Indonesia.

Vietjet will operate daily return flights from Jakarta to Ho Chi Minh City with a flight duration of approximately 3 hours. The flight will depart from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta at 13:30 and arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City at 16:40 (local time). The flight from Ho Chi Minh City will depart at 09:35 (local time) and arrive in Jakarta at 12:30 (local time).

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s financial, cultural and tourism center, is one of Vietnam’s most attractive destinations offering a variety of historical sites and is always bustling with foreign tourists. The country’s largest metropolis is famous for its excellent Vietnamese cuisine ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to street food, hip cafes, nightlife and historical landmarks.

Travelers can visit historical buildings from the French colonial era such as Saigon Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica or take a daily tour of the Cu Chi Tunnel.

To celebrate the launch of its new service to Jakarta, Vietjet is offering a super-saving promotion every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with ticket prices starting from Rp880,000 one-way (including taxes and surcharges). The promotion is valid for Vietjet’s entire international flight network, including the Jakarta – Ho Chi Minh City route. Guests can book their promotional tickets on www.vietjetair.com and the Vietjet Air app for travel from August 10, 2023 to March 31, 2024 (excluding public holidays).

Currently, Vietjet operates two services to Indonesia, with three daily return services between Bali and Ho Chi Minh City, and one daily return flight between Bali and Hanoi.
