Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — OpenAI has rolled out a suite of new productivity features for business users of ChatGPT. The new features aimed at boosting workflow efficiency through deeper integrations and enhanced meeting tools, as reported by TechCrunch on Thursday (June 5).
As part of the update, ChatGPT can now directly connect to popular cloud services including Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Google Drive. This enables the AI assistant to search user-owned files across platforms to generate responses, draft analyses, or support tasks like investment thesis creation using internal documents and presentations.
OpenAI emphasized that these features will honor existing organizational access controls to safeguard data privacy and security.
The company is also introducing in-app meeting recording and transcription capabilities. Users can now capture meeting audio, generate transcripts with time-stamped notes, and receive actionable insights. These transcriptions are searchable, just like other integrated files, and can be converted into documents via Canvas, OpenAI’s tool for writing and programming projects.
The features put ChatGPT in direct competition with tools like ClickUp, Zoom, and Notion, which also offer AI-powered meeting summaries and action items.

Additionally, OpenAI is rolling out a beta version of deep research connectors for platforms such as HubSpot, Linear, and several Microsoft and Google products. These connectors allow users to compile comprehensive research reports using both internal data and internet sources. All paid ChatGPT users now have access to this functionality.
To further support advanced research workflows, OpenAI has also introduced Model Context Protocol (MCP) support. MCP enables ChatGPT to link with external tools for deep research tasks and is available to Pro, Team, and Enterprise users.
With these updates on Productivity features, OpenAI is positioning ChatGPT not just as a conversational tool, but as a full-fledged productivity assistant designed to streamline business operations and enhance decision-making in real time.
