Here are five of the most anticipated festivals that will delight both locals and tourists alike this September.

  1. Sawahlunto International Songket Silungkang Carnival (September 6-8, 2024)

Taking place in the historic city of Sawahlunto, this international carnival celebrates the intricate beauty of Silungkang songket, a traditional handwoven fabric from West Sumatra. The event not only showcases stunning exhibitions of songket but also features a cultural parade with participants donning elaborate costumes made from the luxurious textile.
