Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Adidas has long been recognized for its innovative approach to fashion and sportswear, and its latest offering, the Java collection, exemplifies this commitment. As part of the Adidas Indonesia Series, this collection pays homage to the rich cultural heritage of Java, one of Indonesia’s most iconic regions.

The Java collection features the reintroduction of the Java shoes, originally launched in 1977. These shoes have been updated with a striking night sky blue colorway, accented by vivid red 3-stripe motifs and a crisp white midsole.

Crafted from premium suede with leather detailing, the Java shoes maintain the high quality and unique character that defined the original release. This revival not only highlights Adidas’s dedication to its roots but also showcases the brand’s ability to adapt to contemporary trends.

In addition to the Java shoes, the collection includes a Java tee and Java bag, both designed to complement the footwear. The Java tee is available in semi cobalt blue and olive strata, providing a versatile wardrobe option that aligns with modern fashion. The Java bag, in a clean wonder white, offers practicality while showcasing the same cultural inspiration. All items in the Java collection feature the iconic trefoil logo alongside the word “Java,” emphasizing the connection to the region’s vibrant culture.

Benjamin Handradjasa, President Director of Adidas Indonesia, expressed enthusiasm about the new collection, stating, “Adidas Indonesia draws great inspiration from the rich and iconic beauty of Javanese culture.

To celebrate this timeless heritage, we are excited to reintroduce the Java shoes and expand the collection with the Java tee and Java bag, inviting everyone on a cultural adventure embodied in this lineup.”

The Adidas Indonesia Series aims to integrate local culture into global fashion, creating products that resonate with both local and international consumers.

This approach not only elevates Indonesia’s cultural significance in the global market but also fosters a sense of pride among Indonesians.

The entire Java collection launched on October 1, 2024, and is available for purchase at adidas.co.id and Adidas retail partners across Indonesia. Pricing is set at IDR 500,000 for the Java tee, IDR 350,000 for the Java bag, and IDR 1,800,000 for the Java shoes.

Through the Adidas Indonesia Series and the Java collection, Adidas continues to blend style, heritage, and innovation, celebrating the unique beauty of Indonesian culture while delivering high-quality products to consumers worldwide.
