Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — BLACKPINK has officially announced their comeback with a world tour set for 2025, marking the return of the “Queens of K-pop” after a 1.5-year hiatus.

According to Korea JoongAng Daily, the group’s agency, YG Entertainment, made the announcement on its official blog on Thursday (Feb. 6, 2025), accompanied by a teaser video for the upcoming tour.

“We have assembled a dedicated team to support the group’s activities, and plans for their comeback are taking shape,” YG Entertainment stated in a press release, as reported by CNBC Indonesia. “We aim to fill this year with projects that reflect BLACKPINK’s global reputation, and we hope fans are excited for what’s to come.”

However, the agency did not disclose further details about the tour, including dates and locations.

The yet-to-be-titled tour will be BLACKPINK’s first since their record-breaking “Born Pink” tour, which ran from 2022 to 2023. The four-member group wrapped up their “Born Pink” world tour in September 2023, attracting over 1.8 million fans across 66 shows in 34 cities over the span of a year.

World Tour 2025

Rumors of a new world tour had been circulating since 2024, with YG Entertainment hinting at BLACKPINK’s 2025 schedule multiple times. In July 2024, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk stated that BLACKPINK would be heavily involved in various activities in the coming year but did not provide specific details about a tour.

The 2025 world tour announcement comes more than a year after BLACKPINK concluded their “Born Pink World Tour,” which ran from October 15, 2022, to September 17, 2023.

Following the end of their last tour, members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé spent the past year focusing on their solo projects. This latest announcement marks their highly anticipated return to the stage as a group.

The upcoming activities also signal a new chapter for BLACKPINK, following their recent contract renewal with YG Entertainment, according to CNN Indonesia. While all four members have agreed to continue group activities under YG, their individual careers will now be managed separately.

Jennie has established her own agency, ODD ATELIER, while Jisoo launched BLISSOO. Lisa has also set up her own label, LLOUD, while Rosé has signed with THEBLACKLABEL, a music label founded by YG producers Teddy Park and Kush.

With fans eagerly awaiting further details, BLACKPINK’s return is expected to be one of the most significant K-pop events of 2025.
