Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — BlackVue, a leading dashcam manufacturer, has introduced its latest innovation at the 2024 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW), the DR770X BOX Pro. Equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology, this dashcam does more than just record trips; it actively monitors driver behavior, issuing warnings to prevent accidents caused by fatigue or drowsiness.
Modern dashcams have become essential for vehicle owners, functioning much like a CCTV system for cars. Traditionally used for documenting road incidents or theft, these devices now offer enhanced safety features through cutting-edge AI technology.
The DR770X BOX Pro, BlackVue’s latest dashcam offering, uses AI to detect a driver’s facial expressions and identify signs of drowsiness. Once the system senses fatigue, it immediately issues an in-car alert to the driver. Furthermore, the device can send notifications over the internet to designated contacts, enabling timely intervention to prevent accidents.
According to Indonesia’s National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT), drowsiness and fatigue account for 80% of highway accidents. Microsleep or a brief, involuntary period of sleep remains a leading cause of fatal crashes in 2024.
“We’ve been collecting global driver data for years. Using deep learning technology, our dashcam now offer the highest AI accuracy, making them the smartest and most reliable drowsiness detection tools available,” said Rudy, BlackVue Indonesia’s Marketing Director, as reported by Detik.
Advanced Feature
In addition to drowsiness alerts, Blackvue Dashcam features a suite of safety tools, including warnings for overspeeding, sharp turns, sudden braking, abrupt acceleration, and failure to use seatbelts. These proactive measures aim to reduce the likelihood of accidents and ensure safer journeys.
The DR770X BOX Pro also includes a Parking Mode, which monitors the vehicle even when it’s parked. If an impact occurs, the system sends a notification via the cloud to the owner’s smartphone, providing real-time updates.

The BlackVue Pro dashcam comes equipped with GPS, Wi-Fi, and optional LTE connectivity, offering seamless integration for modern drivers. The built-in GPS embeds speed and location data into recorded videos, enabling users to view the dashcam’s location on a map during playback via the app.
Wi-Fi functionality allows users to quickly transfer files to their smartphone or tablet and facilitates cloud connectivity through a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
With cloud capabilities, owners can track their vehicle and access real-time footage from any of the dashcam’s three lenses via the BlackVue app.
Additional key features of the DR770X BOX Pro include an internal speaker, impact sensors, and motion detection. The dashcam also provides audio alerts to notify users of its status—such as powering on, shutting down, or detecting errors—through the built-in speaker on the front camera.
BlackVue’s innovation by integrating AI on Dashcam not only provides high-quality video evidence but also emphasizes accident prevention, delivering a new level of security for drivers.
