Brantas Abipraya Builds Toll Road Connecting South Sumatra with Jambi

Jakarta – PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) seriously shows its active role in building toll road and non-toll road infrastructure in Indonesia. This is indicated by the achievement of a new contract marked by the contract signing process for the construction of the Bayung Lencir – Tempino Toll Road Sections 1 and 3 of Jambi Province (17/5). In the process, Brantas Abipraya will focus on working on Section 3 with two other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

“Yes, with the experience of toll road work that Brantas Abipraya has built, this has led to our election to receive the mandate of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing in the construction of the Bayung Lencir – Tempino Toll Road. We will make sure this project will be completed on time, cost with superior quality and quality, and of course without forgetting the application of strict K3 and tidiness, aesthetics, “said Sugeng Rochadi, President Director of Brantas Abipraya.

With a contract value of Rp 2.759 trillion, the Bayung Lencir – Tempino Section 3 Toll Road has a length of 15.470 kilometers (km). The toll road, which was built with a source of financing from the State Budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 – 2024, is targeted to be completed in 2024. To connect South Sumatra Province (South Sumatra) with Jambi Province, the Bayung Lencir-Tempino Toll Road is part of the 169.9 km Betung-Tempino-Jambi Toll Road.

It will be the first toll road that crosses Jambi Province, with the construction of this project, toll roads in Sumatra will be connected from Lampung to Aceh. Sugeng added, after the signing of this contract, it will be followed by ground breaking. As for the support of the project portion in Section 3, Brantas Abipraya amounted to 15%. In more detail, this toll road project includes excavation and embankment work, structural work (interchange, overpass, box culvert), pile slab work, and pavement. This toll road will also be supported by a number of facilities including one interchange, and designed with a number of 2×2 lanes with a maximum planned speed of 80 km / hour.

“As a contractor, Brantas Abipraya is optimistic that it will complete the construction of this toll road on time, for 12 months, and this commitment is a form of Brantas Abipraya’s seriousness in supporting Indonesia’s infrastructure,” Sugeng concluded.
