Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Starting January 1, 2025, Indonesian citizens can now register for their personal Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) online through the newly launched Coretax System. This system, introduced by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), aims to simplify the NPWP registration process, allowing individuals to register anytime and from anywhere.
“Since January 1, 2025, NPWP registration can be done via coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id. With this new service, you can register for an NPWP anytime, anywhere,” announced DJP via their official Instagram account @ditjenpajakri on January 20, 2025.
Step-by-Step Guide to Register for an NPWP via Coretax System:
- Access the Website:
Visit coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id and click on “Daftar Di Sini” (Register Here). - Prepare Required Documents:
Have your National Identity Card (KTP) and Family Card (KK) ready. - Choose the Registration Type:
Select “Perorangan” for individual taxpayer registration. - National Identification Number (NIK) Confirmation:
Click “Ya, Wajib Pajak Memiliki NIK” (Yes, Taxpayer Has an NIK). - Activate NIK for NPWP Registration:
Choose the option to register using your NIK. - Enter Personal Information:
Fill in your personal details accurately. - Verify Data:
Once all information is complete, click the “Verifikasi” (Verify) button.
If the data is successfully verified, click “Lanjut” (Next). - OTP Verification:
Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered email and phone number.
After successful verification, click “Lanjut” (Next). - Add Related Persons:
Input details of any related individuals (spouse, children, siblings, or parents), then click “Lanjut” (Next). - Provide Income Information:
Enter your source of income and click “Simpan” (Save). - Business Classification Code (KLU):
Ensure the KLU code box is checked and click “Lanjut” (Next). - Address Details:
Fill in both your residential address and the address listed on your KTP.
Ensure the KTP address matches the data on your ID. - Geolocation Data:
Provide your geographical data (latitude and longitude).
Click “Verifikasi” to confirm, then “Lanjut” to proceed. - Photo Validation:
Upload a recent photo or take one using your device’s camera.
After the system verifies the photo, click “Lanjut” (Next). - Compliance Confirmation:
Check the box to confirm your compliance statement and click “Ajukan Permohonan” (Submit Application).

Post-Registration:
After completing all the steps, DJP advises registrants to regularly check their email inbox for updates regarding the issuance of their NPWP.
