Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — As of January 1, 2025, Indonesia fuel price have been adjusted by major fuel providers, including state-owned PT Pertamina (Persero), Shell Indonesia, BP-AKR, and Vivo Energy Indonesia. While most non-subsidized fuel prices have increased, subsidized fuel prices remain unchanged, maintaining affordability for lower-income groups.

Pertamina’s Adjustments

In Jakarta, Pertamina has raised the price of its non-subsidized fuel products. For example, Pertamax (RON 92) now costs IDR 12,500 per liter, up from IDR 12,100 in December 2024. Pertamax Green 95 (RON 95), Pertamax Turbo (RON 98), Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex have also seen price hikes. However, subsidized fuels, such as Pertalite (RON 90) and Solar Subsidi, remain steady at IDR 10,000 and IDR 6,800 per liter, respectively.

At Pertamina’s Pertashop outlets, Pertamax is slightly cheaper, priced at IDR 12,400 per liter.

Shell Indonesia: Initial Hike, Then Reduction

Shell Indonesia initially raised its prices on January 1, 2025. However, as of January 3, the company made a surprising move by reducing prices. Shell Super (RON 92), equivalent to Pertamax, is now priced at IDR 12,810 per liter, down from IDR 12,930—a reduction of IDR 120.

Shell’s premium fuel products, including Shell V-Power, V-Power Nitro+, and V-Power Diesel, also experienced reductions.

Despite the cuts, Shell’s prices remain higher than Pertamina’s Pertamax (IDR 12,500 per liter) and Vivo’s Revvo 92 (IDR 12,770 per liter). However, Shell Super is now on par with BP 92, which also costs IDR 12,810 per liter.

BP-AKR Price Updates

BP-AKR has maintained its prices in both the Jabodetabek area and East Java. BP 92, comparable to Shell Super and Pertamax, is priced at IDR 12,810 per liter. BP Ultimate, their premium product, costs IDR 13,530 per liter, while BP Ultimate Diesel is set at IDR 14,030.

Vivo Energy Indonesia’s Pricing

Vivo Energy offers competitive prices, especially for its non-subsidized products. Revvo 92 is priced at IDR 12,770 per liter, making it cheaper than both Shell Super and BP 92. Revvo 95, comparable to higher-octane products, costs IDR 13,480 per liter. Vivo also provides diesel fuel, with its Primus Diesel Plus priced at IDR 13,990 per liter.
