Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — A new round of alleged sexual assault cases on P Diddy has rolled with Jay Z name is now being dragged into the vortex of the case. Jay Z is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl along P Diddy, 24 years ago.
The 55-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Shawn Carter, was named in a civil lawsuit filed in October 2024 by a woman identified as Jane Doe. Doe alleged that she was harassed after being taken to the MTV Video Music Awards Afterparty in 2000.
According to People, Monday December 9, the civil lawsuit was initially filed in New York City on October 20, 2024 with the names of two celebrities mentioned and only listing P Diddy or Sean Combs as the defendant. The complaint was then changed and re-filed on Sunday, December 8, 2024, which listed Carter’s name.
In the document, the woman alleged that she was raped by P Diddy and Jay Z, while an unnamed female celebrity watched a party held after the VMA event at a location.
“Defendant Sean Combs, along with his longtime friend and collaborator Shawn Carter (a.k.a ‘JayZ’), drugged and raped a thirteen-year-old girl at a party after the 2000 Video Music Awards,” the lawsuit reads. “Other celebrities stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor.”
Carter quickly responded to the lawsuit by releasing a statement on his X Roc Nation account (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, December 8, 2024, US time. He called the allegations false and challenged Jane Doe’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, to pursue a criminal case instead of a civil one.
“What he calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to get to the bottom of it. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud that you are in a VERY public way. So no I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!” the rapper wrote.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file criminal charges, not civil charges!! Anyone who commits a crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you agree? These alleged victims deserve real justice then,” he continued.
P Diddy’s side of the story has taken a similar stance. Through his attorney, P Diddy has called the lawsuit a “shameless publicity stunt designed to take advantage of celebrities who are afraid of having lies spread about them, just like the other lies that were spread about Mr. Combs.”
Jane Doe Claims
Citing NBC News, in the document, Jane Doe claims that in 2000, when she was just 13 years old, Sean Combs (P Diddy) and Shawn Carter (Jay Z) allegedly raped her at a house party after an awards show in New York.
She claims in her lawsuit that a friend drove her to Radio City Music Hall, where the awards were held, but she did not have a ticket to the show. She then approached several limousine drivers to try to get into the show or an afterparty.
One driver, the lawsuit says, told her he worked for Combs and that she “fit what Diddy was looking for.” He invited her to an after-show party and told her to come back to his car later that night after he dropped Carter and Combs off, the lawsuit says.

The driver then picked her up, the lawsuit says, and after 20 minutes they arrived at a white house with a U-shaped driveway, the lawsuit says. She had to sign what she believed was a nondisclosure agreement upon arrival — and didn’t receive a copy — to enter the party, which the lawsuit says was filled with celebrities and people high on marijuana and cocaine.
She was offered a drink that made her feel “dizzy, lightheaded, and felt like she needed to lie down,” the lawsuit says, and she went to a room to rest.
That’s when, she says, Carter stripped off her clothes, held her down, and raped her while Combs and an unnamed female celebrity watched. She says Combs also took turns and raped her as Carter and the woman looked on.
