New Delh, Indonesia Sentinel — Bollywood actress Kajol expressed her heartfelt appreciation after witnessing Indonesian delegates accompanying President Prabowo Subianto sing the iconic song Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
The song, a soundtrack from the hit 1998 film of the same name starring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan, was performed during a state dinner hosted by Indian President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday, January 25.
Taking to her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Kajol retweeted a post by Indian news agency ANI showcasing the Indonesian delegation’s performance.
“Bollywood’s uniting power shines once again! The Indonesian delegation singing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a touching tribute. Truly honored! ❤️🌏 #KuchKuchHotaHai #IndiaIndonesia,” wrote Kajol.
The Indonesian delegation, including Foreign Minister Sugiono, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and several personal aides to President Prabowo, delivered the impromptu performance during the dinner.
A video circulating online captured the delegates’ rendition of the song, earning warm applause from high-ranking officials in attendance.

The musical tribute was part of President Prabowo’s state visit to India, which included participation in the 76th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. Prabowo attended the event as the Chief Guest on Sunday, January 26, further solidifying Indonesia-India relations.
This heartfelt gesture highlights the cultural connections between the two nations, showcasing Bollywood’s enduring influence in fostering goodwill and camaraderie across borders.
