“The suspects do not have permission to dispatch migrant workers or dispatch not in accordance with the specified documents,” he said.

He gave an example of migrant workers who were sent abroad but did not match their visas or passports.

In addition, he continued, there are also migrant workers who are employed not according to their expertise and not as promised.

The suspects in this criminal offense are further charged with Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Eradication of Persons and Law Number 18 of 2017 concerning Protection of Migrant Workers.

To people who intend to work abroad, Brigadier General Abiyoso urged them not to be easily tempted by the lure of large salaries.
