Insurance companies that have sharia units must fulfill the sharia principles set by the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN MUI), and to guarantee and ensure insurance in accordance with sharia, insurance companies are required to have a Sharia Supervisory Board, “explained Tatang.

“So far we have a wide selection of insurance products with sharia schemes, including; motor vehicle insurance that provides protection for cars (t_drive sharia) and motorcycles (t_ride sharia), property insurance (t_property sharia), travel insurance / Umrah / Hajj, (t travela sharia), personal accident insurance (t_protect sharia), TPI Sharia Micro insurance, Cash In Transit & Cash In Safe insurance, burglary insurance, engineering insurance, marine cargo & hull insurance, public liability insurance, etc.” added Tatang.

“We believe that the appreciation achieved by the Tugu Insurance Sharia Business Unit in the Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2023 is the sweet fruit of a commitment to continue to actively participate in the development of the Islamic economic ecosystem in the country through a wide selection of products and services that are able to answer the needs of customers from both the retail and corporate segments,” concluded Tatang.
