Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Tripadvisor has announced its Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Beaches 2025. Kelingking Beach, located in Nusa Penida, Bali, secured a spot in the prestigious top 10, placing Indonesia among the world’s most breathtaking coastal destinations.

Tripadvisor Best of the Best Beaches 2025 highlighting the world’s top beach destinations based on comprehensive user reviews compiled from millions of reviews on Tripadvisor. The featured beaches showcase the best that coastal destinations have to offer.

The rankings are determined through an extensive analysis of beach reviews submitted over the past year, reflecting traveler experiences and preferences from around the globe.

Tripadvisor President Kristen Dalton stated that the awards represent the voices of millions of travelers and serve as a valuable guide for those planning their next trip.

This year’s list includes more than 100 beaches across six continents and 50 countries. Taking the top spot as the world’s best beach for 2025 is Elafonissi Beach in Crete, Greece.

Known for its crystal-clear waters and unique pink-tinged sand, the beach is surrounded by cedar forests, making it an ideal spot for hiking in addition to its stunning seascape.

Other top five global rankings include Banana Beach in Phuket, Thailand; Eagle Beach in Aruba, Caribbean; Siesta Beach in Florida, United States; and Praia da Falésia in Algarve, Portugal.

Kelingking Beach

Indonesia’s Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida, Bali was ranks 9th on the list. The beach made a significant leap from 16th place last year ranking. The beach, which has received over 1,664 reviews on Tripadvisor, is renowned for its dramatic limestone cliffs, pristine white sand, and mesmerizing turquoise waters.

One of its most iconic features is the cliff formation resembling a Tyrannosaurus Rex, earning it the nickname “T-Rex Bay.” From the cliff’s peak, visitors can take in panoramic views of the curved shoreline, crashing waves, and expansive blue skies.

Kelingking Beach is particularly popular among adventure seekers, as reaching the shoreline requires navigating steep, rocky steps. The best time to visit is during the dry season, from April to October, when clear skies enhance the breathtaking coastal views.

With its inclusion in the top 10, Kelingking Beach in Bali continues to solidify its reputation as one of the world’s most stunning coastal destinations, drawing travelers seeking both beauty and adventure.
