Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Samsung Galaxy Ring, a smart ring introduced globally in July 2024, may soon make its debut in Indonesia. The potential launch was hinted at after multiple models of the Galaxy Ring appeared on the certification page of the Directorate General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology (SDPPI), part of Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo).
According to the certification listings, nine variants of the Galaxy Ring, with model numbers ranging from SM-Q500 to SM-Q509, have been registered. The final digit in the model number indicates the size of the Galaxy Ring, suggesting a variety of sizing options for consumers.
First unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Samsung Buds 3 earbuds, and Galaxy Watch 7, the Galaxy Ring is designed to provide health monitoring in a more compact and comfortable form than traditional smartwatches or fitness bands. Equipped with advanced sensors and Samsung’s cutting-edge technology, the device offers 24/7 health tracking integrated with Samsung Health.
One of the standout features is the Energy Score, powered by Samsung’s AI technology. This feature evaluates physical and mental conditions based on four key factors: sleep, daily activity, sleep heart rate, and heart rate variability during sleep. The AI then provides health reports and recommendations tailored to the user’s current physical state.
The Galaxy Ring also includes Cycle Tracking, designed to help women track menstrual cycles more accurately through overnight skin temperature monitoring. Other health-focused features include Heart Rate Alert for real-time notifications of abnormal heart rates, Live Heart Rate Check for more detailed monitoring, Auto Workout Detection for automatic tracking of walking or running activities, and Inactive Alert, which reminds users to stay active throughout the day.

The Galaxy Ring measuring just 7 mm by 2.6 mm and weighing between 2.3 and 3.0 grams depending on size, and is available in U.S. standard sizes ranging from 5 to 13. Built with durable Titanium Grade 5 material, it is water-resistant up to 10 ATM, making it safe for various activities. The battery lasts up to seven days, and the ring comes with a stylish charging case equipped with an LED indicator.
Though pricing for the Indonesian market has yet to be announced, the Galaxy Ring is priced at $399 globally, which approximately Rp6.1 million. While the certification on the Postel website strongly suggests that the Galaxy Ring will soon be available in Indonesia, Samsung has not yet confirmed an official release date for the country.
