Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel — Pink Beach, known for its stunning pink-hued sand, is one of the most exotic and picturesque beaches in Indonesia. The pink beach is nestled within the Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The beach is a true natural wonder, with its striking pink sand stretching along the shoreline, clear turquoise waters that blend from deep blue to light blue, palm trees swaying gently, rolling hills in the distance, and a bright, sunny sky when weather permits.

The rarity of the pink sand makes Pink Beach a standout destination in Indonesia, as it is one of the few places in the world where such a phenomenon can be found. Due to its unparalleled beauty, Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, has recommended Pink Beach as a must-visit destination for tourists looking to experience something extraordinary.

Pink Beach is located within Komodo National Park, Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara. To reach this secluded paradise, international travelers typically fly into Labuan Bajo via Komodo International Airport. Several airlines, including Garuda Indonesia, Batik Air, Citilink, Air Asia, Super Air Jet, and Wings Air, offer direct flights to the area. Upon arrival, travelers can take a short drive to Labuan Bajo’s harbor before embarking on a two-hour journey by speedboat or traditional Phinisi boat to reach Pink Beach.

For those already visiting Bali, a sea route to Labuan Bajo is also an option. Travelers can catch a ferry from Tanjung Benoa Port in Bali, which takes approximately three days to reach Labuan Bajo. Once there, they can take a speedboat or Phinisi to Pink Beach, adding an adventurous twist to their journey.

The Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit Pink Beach is during the dry season, which typically runs from May to September. During this period, the weather is pleasant, and the calm, clear waters create a serene environment, making it perfect for beach and water activities . The tranquil conditions also make it an ideal time to fully appreciate the natural beauty of Pink Beach, whether lounging on the sand or exploring the surrounding waters.

Activities at Pink Beach
