Pertamina Guarantees Fuel Supply on Strategic Lines

Jakarta, Indonesia Sentinel – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga alerted the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2023 Task Force Team in Aceh’s strategic and tourist routes, to ensure the reliability of fuel oil (BBM), LPG and avtur supplies and services for the community.

“The task force is to ensure supply and other additional services for the people of Aceh,” said Area Manager Communication Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut), Susanto August Satria, through his written statement, Tuesday (27/12/2022).

The Pertamina Task Force team has been actively on duty since December 15, 2022 to January 8, 2023.

In their duties, they also coordinate with various related agencies including the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ministry of Transportation, BPH Migas, Police, Jasa Marga, TNI and various other parties for the smooth distribution of energy to the community.

Satria said that the task force is needed considering that energy consumption is predicted to increase, due to increased community mobility before or after the Nataru celebration.

Satria said, fuel demand in Aceh, for gasoline consumption (Pertalite, Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo) is estimated to increase by eight percent or 1,741 kl to 1,891 kl per day.

While gasoil consumption (Solar, Dexlite, Pertamina Dex) is predicted to increase by three percent or 1,121 kl to 1,155 kl per day.

“An increase is also predicted for LPG consumption by around one percent or 368 metric tons (MT) to 373 MT per day,” he said.

Satria added, the resilience of the fuel stock is for 10 days, LPG at the level of 20 days, Avtur 61 days and continues to be produced. The current stock is certainly safe and smooth.

“The stock does not include the stock that will be distributed from the refinery and the ongoing stock from the tanker,” he said.

Satria emphasized that the people of Aceh need not worry because the fuel and LPG stocks are safe and smooth. His party will also continue to monitor the field, so that the needs of the community are met.

“Today’s running stock does not include cargo from tankers and supplies from refineries that supply Pertamina’s sarfas every day,” he said.

On this occasion, Satria also urged the public to use fuel wisely and use Pertamina’s quality products.

Then, people who are entitled to consume subsidized fuel to immediately register for the right subsidy program through the website subsiditepat.mypertamina.id.

“Buy enough and as needed, do not hoard let alone resell, especially for subsidized fuel because it is a criminal act,” said Satria.

Previously, the government ensured that the condition of energy supply, especially fuel oil (BBM) and liquified petroleum gas (LPG) nationally during the Nataru period was safe.

This was conveyed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rida Mulyana, when reviewing the Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal, Banten, Sunday (25/12/2022). (InfoPublik.id/photo: esdm.go.id)
